Qu’il fallait témoigner
Du respect à nos vieux
Et rendre leur vie facile.
Aussi, quand j’étais petit,
Je suivais toujours ce précepte
En allant chercher leurs pantoufles
Pour mes parents
Et les déposer près du lit
Où ils dormaient.
Leur épargner
Ces petits soucis quotidiens
C’est leur assurer
Une bonne nuit de sommeil.
