Earlier this month, the company held a ceremony at Royal Green to officially announce its support for para-athletes Brandy Perrine and Eddy Capdor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As part of its &#8220;We Care&#8221; program, Emtel provided financial assistance, along with essential equipment and attire for training and competition. This initiative reflects the company&#8217;s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals, aiming to foster a more inclusive and equitable society in Mauritius through various support programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Brandy Perrine<\/strong> is a high-level athlete specializing in wheelchair racing, competing in the 100m T54, 400m T54, and 800m T54 events. At the 2024 World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Brandy achieved notable results, including a 4th place finish in the 100m and an 8th place in the 400m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Expressing gratitude for the sponsorship, Brandy stated, &#8220;I am extremely thankful for Emtel&#8217;s support since 2021, which has helped me remain among the top athletes. Their assistance has allowed me to purchase equipment, supplements, and cover medical expenses, which has been crucial for my preparation for the Paralympics.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Eddy Capdor<\/strong>, hailing from Rodrigues, specializes in the long jump T20. He also made a mark at the Kobe 2024 World Para Athletics Championships, securing 7th place in his event. Emtel\u2019s active support of both athletes since 2021 will continue with this new financial aid, aiding their preparations for the upcoming Paris 2024 Paralympics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Fabrice Ramsamy, coach of Eddy Capdor, expressed his appreciation for Emtel\u2019s support, highlighting the importance of the company\u2019s sponsorship: \u201cEmtel is the largest sponsor Eddy has received. This effort by Emtel towards social inclusion is significant.
