\"\"Pandita Indira Muttur, born in 1956 in Ville Noire, Mahebourg, was the beloved daughter of Shree Shikshanand Budia, a dedicated Arya Samajist, and Shreemati Bindumati Narain. Growing up in a family steeped in traditional values and community service, Pandita Indira embraced these principles from an early age. Despite having to leave her studies to care for her siblings, she married Shiva Narain Muttur (Satish) in 1979. Together, they had a son and a daughter, and she devoted herself to being a loving mother and wife.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tragically, the loss of her son in 1994 was a profound shock. In her grief, her father encouraged her to join the Mahebourg Arya Samaj and become involved with the Mahebourg Arya Mahila Samaj. Under the guidance of respected figures like Pandita Radhika Manee, Pandit Gokhool, and Arya Netha Shree Oudaye Narain Gungoo, she delved into Vedic studies and Dharmic classes, also learning Sangeet from Pandit Iswar Rejhaw and Acharya Usha Sharma.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pandita Indira was renowned for her melodious voice and her warm, welcoming nature. Her generosity and genuine kindness made her a beloved figure in her community. She was a dedicated wife, with her husband standing by her side in all religious and cultural functions, embodying the ideal partnership.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her joy in life was evident in her travels, including a memorable trip to Rodrigues organized by her cousin Geeta Bhunjun, where she was accompanied by her husband and granddaughter, Simran. Pandita Indira Muttur, who touched many lives with her kindness and devotion, passed away too soon at the age of 68 on August 19, 2024, in Rodrigues. Her legacy of love, faith, and service will be cherished by all who knew her. Aum Shanti.<\/span><\/p>\n
