The two major changes that were going to inflence music making greatly were in information technology and in human behaviour. The new development in compressinghuge amount of dataonto microchips led to their incorporation in numerous gadgets used everyday. The development of fibre optics technology helped in the rapid transmission of data. Satellite technology has developed in such a way that every corner of the globe is now covered. Short messages, videos and audio clips became available freely when a Wi-Fi or an internet connection is available.
